You can use to discover what those keywords are. But after you have that keyword, what do you do? Well let's first talk about what most people do. Now, some people go crazy with that keyword and stuff it everywhere.
They have it three times in the title, 20 times in the description. And it just becomes something that a human who reads that blog post is not gonna enjoy. You do not wanna do that. Other people, they don't have a strategy going into it.
So they kind of just write and let things happen, and as a result, some posts maybe do well and other ones not so much. Now to make this easy for you, I'm gonna give you a three-phase strategy that's gonna make it very simple for you as you move forward into the future. With the help of this phases you will learn how to use keywords in a blog post.
Focused keyword
So, let's begin. Phase Number One is our research phase, and it's research beyond just what that focused keyword is. We need to do some research in and around that focus key word. and this phase one you will know about how to use keywords in a blog post.
So, let's dive into a Google doc so we can set this out. So here we are in a Google doc, and I'm just gonna type in focus keyword. And let's just use email marketing as an example. And I'm just gonna type that in here, focus keyword email marketing.
And that's gonna change to the post title potentially after this kind of gets fleshed out. But as you can see here, in google, if you have keywords everywhere installed. You'll see that the search volume here is 90,500 per month, which is great.
We can put that down here just so we can have some reference. So search volume 90,500 per month. Next, we wanna find relevant keywords. These are longer tailed keywords or related key terms. That people are using in and around this particular topic.
Related keyword
So we're gonna keep track of this here as well. And to do that, quite simply all you have to do is go back to Google. And really easy, all you have to do is scroll down. Here's some related searches to email marketing.
So email marketing examples, how to do email marketing. Email marketing definition, strategy, benefits, companies, free, what is email marketing. And how does it work?
You can also see the search volumes for each of these here. Again, if you had keywords everywhere installed. See, relevant keywords are important to understand. Because these are other terms that we should also be discussing within our blog posts.
This shows relevancy toward that bigger seed keyword that we have. And also shows Google and other human beings. Who are reading this post that we kind of know what we're talking about because remember.
These are things that people are searching for in addition to and related to our seed key term. Now SEO and keyword research can go far far deeper than this. But I'm trying to make this simple for you. So we're actually gonna stop there for Phase One.
Again, very simple. I've tried teaching other people some more complicated strategies before. And they just kinda get hung up. So I'm gonna give you the basics and the foundational items here. And really it's all about okay.

What's that seed keyword, and what are the related terms people are searching for. That's Phase One. So, at this point, you're already done and let's move on now to Phase Two.
Phase Two is the content creation phase. And it has five different components to it, which we'll go over right now.
About your approach
First, it's gonna be all about your approach. You wanna approach your blog post. As if you're about to create something. That is more amazing than any other blog post that's out there.
And when you have that approach. You're gonna take a little bit more effort to create something. That's gonna stand out from the rest. It's gonna have somebody share it and also have Google rank it higher, too.
The approach is really important, and there's a few ways to make sure. That you're approaching it in the right way. First, you wanna make sure that you put yourself in the shoes of somebody. Who's about to read this post.
Understand where they're at. What are their pains and their problems? And what transformation are you about to write for them? How are you gonna create that transformation through this blog post.
That's how your blog post is gonna be structured. What am I doing with my hands right now? It's weird. Number Two, provide some sort of quick win. So near the beginning of that post, maybe not necessarily the first paragraph.
But in some way shape or form have a person do something. Or perform some sort of exercise or even think about something. In a way that allows them to realize something or have something that they didn't have before, just within the first paragraph or two.
use your focus keyword
Okay, so in addition to the approach. The second thing you need to focus on. The second element of content-creation that's really important. Related to these keywords is that you use your focus keyword. The target keyword that you want to rank for.
In the first sentence of your blog post. Use those keywords or key phrases exactly. How you want them to be found in the first sentence of your blog post. It doesn't have to be the first set of words. But just naturally in the first sentence.
So that a person who reads it understands. What this post is about but also Google when they crawl through. It they'll understand what it's about, too. Now, that focus keyword's gonna also appear throughout the blog post naturally. And your to know how to use keywords in a blog post.
Use your Relevant Keyword (how to use keywords in a blog post)
Make sure just naturally put it in there. But in addition to that, and this is point number three here in concentration. And that's those relevant keywords. They need to be sprinkled throughout this post as well, and the better that you can organize them.
The more likely it is that it's gonna be a well-structured post. Such that it shows relevancy to that main keyword. And also is something that a human being would enjoy reading. And it makes sense. You can see that the focus keyword is email marketing. But we have relevant keywords.
That makes sense to be a part of this blog post. And now it's even giving me a little information. About how I might be able to structure this blog post, too. I can have, perhaps, the first part be email marketing definition. And then I can go into the benefits,
Right, and then I can go into the strategy, I can give some examples. I can offer different companies. I can even perhaps have a deal where a person can get email marketing for free. Now the fact that I'm including these shows relevancy to that main topic.
That I'm talking about. And it shows a human being that, okay, this is an authority post. Which of course Google is trying to be as human as possible. When determining what is the best content out there to serve when a person searches for that thing. And your to know how to use keywords in a blog post.
sub-headers
Number four, make sure you include H3 sub-headers for different sections within your blog post. There's a couple reasons why this is important.
Number one, you just don't want a giant block of text that's going to just bore people to death. And look like an essay that you wrote in college. You wanna write for people who are reading on the Internet. Which means you need to make it scannable.
Which means you need to have different sections that are divided by these sub-headers. So bolder text, larger text, that just shows okay. Here's the next section of my blog post.
Now, if you can include relevant key words and things people are typing into Google. In those H3 sections as well. It's gonna have a little bit more weight about that. Relevant keyword injected into your particular blog post.
So, again, there's a thousand factors that go into what ranks a webpage on Google. But these little things, they stack up. And they add up for sure. And I hope you to know how to use keywords in a blog post.

And number five, this isn't relevant to the keywords that you're using, really. It's relevant to just how you should write, and that is you wanna write engaging posts. You wanna write so that a person will wanna continue reading, and it starts at the beginning.
The very first paragraph. Like I said, the very first sentence is gonna have that focus keyword, right? The first paragraph should entice people and make them want to continue reading. On to the next paragraph, and this is something that doesn't come naturally.
To a lot of people, but you wanna create your open loops, or your hooks. So that a person is just like oh, of course I'm gonna keep reading. There's a few different ways to do that.
1. You can start with a story. Stories hook people in.
2. Number two, you're gonna share with people what the benefits are of continuing to read them. This post, like here's what you're gonna get and why it's important.
3. And number three, creating some sort of hook or open loop. Meaning you're gonna share something. But you're not gonna give it all away until later at the end of the post. That often does a good job of keeping people reading, too.
Summary
Alright, so that's Phase Two of content. Just to recap one more time, number one make it awesome. Approach it as if you're creating the best piece of content about that topic in the world.
Number two, have your focus keyword in the first sentence.
Number Three, sprinkle relevant keywords throughout the blog post. Make sure you include those. And those could potentially be the subsections of your blog post, too.
Which of course, number four is to also include H3 sub-headers, so that you can make it scannable and also show relevancy and more authority to those particular topics within the blog post. And number five, again, write so that people will keep reading.
